Sarah Horn, DVM

My Story

Dr. Horn's love for veterinary medicine was innate, and she pursued her undergraduate studies at Bowdoin College, where she discovered her fondness for Maine. She obtained her degree in veterinary medicine from Ross University, and after completing her clinical year at Cornell University, she pursued a rotating specialty internship at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists in Rhode Island. She began her career as a general practitioner in Maine before joining Rarebreed in 2021 as the Director of Veterinary Operations for Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. In this role, she advocates for veterinarians in Rarebreed partner hospitals, provides medical support, mentorship, program implementation, and education. Dr. Horn's years of playing field hockey taught her the importance of teamwork and support, which she applies to both her personal and professional life. Rarebreed has provided her with the opportunity to combine her passion for veterinary medicine with her desire to support those around her.
